This interactive session will develop an understanding of how AVID’s WICOR instructional framework supports student success leadership. Participants will identify their leadership style and understand the characteristics of other leadership styles. They will review qualities of impactful leadership and explore the difference between leadership and management. They will examine how AVID’s Four Domains (Instruction, Leadership, Systems, and Culture) are interconnected and support efforts to improve student success. Participants will engage in several collaborative and individual activities that will help them develop a better understanding of how to lead and monitor student success initiatives by providing effective feedback. Finally, participants will develop an individual action plan that they can implement as part of their continuous improvement and leadership development.

This session is worth 1.5 PD points for FT and Adjunct Faculty
